Mebs gained a DPhil in Analytical Science from the University of York in 1994. He spent 8 years working within the ThermoElectron Corporation(now ThermoFisher Scientific) where he gained extensive commercial experience in customer support, international sales, distributor management, marketing, and business development. Within these companies he promoted a number of novel separations technologies including capillary electrophoresis, HPLC and gas chromatography. In 2002 he joined Genomic Solutions promoting their high throughput screening, protein crystallization and proteomic platforms. Since joining Paraytec, Mebs has led the development and commercialisation of the ActiPix™ technology out of the lab and into the commercial arena.
