Contract Research

Paraytec are proud to announce the launch of a range of contract services for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.

Contract Analysis

This service utilises our award winning technologies for hydrodynamic size determination and surface dissolution imaging. For more information about these techniques, please contact us directly.

The contract analytical service offers a range of standard measurements including:

Surface dissolution imaging

· Intrinsic dissolution rate for sparingly soluble active pharmaceutical ingredients

· Solid-liquid interface characterisation

· Low sample requirements (<15 mg per analysis)

· Low buffer usage (50 mL per experiment)

Hydrodynamic size determination

· For proteins, antibodies, small molecules, quantum dot and nanoparticles of size 0.3 to 20 nm

· Wide dynamic range (0.1 mg/mL to 150 mg/mL without dilution)

· Requires <1mL sample (3 repeats per run) unused sample will be returned

· Low buffer usage—<20 mL per study

Contract Research

A research based service which provides more detailed insights into specific analytical problems. An experimental plan is determined following extensive consultation with our customers.

Surface dissolution imaging

· Detailed mechanistic understanding of surface dissolution phenomena for sparingly soluble APIs

· Investigation of surface dissolution phenomena of UV active or visible species.

· Discrimination and ranking of polymorphs

· Custom methods for determining dissolution from eroding surfaces, e.g. dental erosion, protein desorption from contact lenses, release of actives from transdermal patches,

Aggregation and sizing service

· Determination of amount of minor component in presence of major, e.g. aggregate present in antibody monomer

· Protein-protein interactions

· Protein-drug interaction studies

Contract Design

Paraytec have an experienced team of optical, software, mechanical, electronic and applications engineers.  Our focus is instrument development for analytical separation and optical detection.

We are also well placed to manage and participate in international collaborative studies, e.g. Technology Strategy Board, Research and Development Grants, Framework 7.

We offer a range of services including but not limited to:

· Development of optical instruments from concept to manufacturing and marketing

· Integrating hardware for customised applications

· Analytical testing of prototype separation systems

· Commercialization of disruptive technologies

We have a proven track record of fast, efficient and cost effective turnaround of custom projects.
